Both the iPhone XS and XS Max have Super Retina resolution screens, which offer HDR, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and carry a notch. The devices are crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel and the “most durable glass ever in a smartphone”, with the IP68 certification.
Coming to the photography details, the iPhone XS and XS Max support a dual 12MP camera setup, which is greater than the camera megapixel of iPhone X and Apple’s Face ID tech for facial authentication.
A 7MP TrueDepth camera will be the sensor for both the devices for selfies and video-calling. The sensor is “twice as fast” as compared with the iPhone X. The handsets support a new feature called Smart HDR, which can gather many images of a moving subject and form it to make the best shot.
In terms of battery capacity, Apple has announced that the iPhone XS will last 30 minutes longer battery capacity than the iPhone X, on the other hand, the Apple iPhone XS Max can fuel you an extra hour and a half.
One interesting salient feature of these newly unveiled iPhones is the iPhone XS and XS Max are the first iPhones to support dual SIM,(a physical SIM card and Apple’s own eSIM).
For Chinese markets, Apple will offer a specific phone with two physical SIM slots.
