Few weeks ago, Chinese mobile manufacturer, Xiaomi had announced its latest 3 flagship devices for its new smartphone lovers at its annual launch event as a part of celebrating its 8th anniversary. In the Mi series, Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8SE (Special Edition) are the new three editions. Among the smartphones, Xiaomi Mi 8SE is the first smartphone worldwide to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset under the hood. Today, I bring you a very exciting news for Indians which is none other than about the launch of this mid-range smartphone.
According to sources from Twitter, it has been speculated that the Xiaomi Mi 8SE will be launched in India next month i.e. July. It is allegedly revealed that the name of the smartphone will be renamed as Mi 8i in India but it was launched as Mi 8SE in China. It is further expected that the device will sport the same features as already launched China’s MI 8SE. Before you are getting ready enough to buy the smartphone in the coming weeks, you can keep in your mind whether the features of the smartphone are completely okay with you. The device will sport a 5.88 inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ (1080 x 2244) resolution with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. There will be no 3D Face ID feature that the standard MI 8 series has but fingerprint sensor on the back of the smartphone can be used for your biometric security. DCI-P3 color gamut support is the most noticeable feature of this smartphone.
In terms of its camera, the Xiaomi Mi 8SE has an AI dual camera on the rear consisting of a 12MP + a 5MP. On the front, the device sports a 20MP camera with AI portrait support for selfies. Coming to the memory, the device is expected to be available in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. As of now, there’s no specific cost price of the smartphone along with which type of color variants of the smartphone can be made available for sale in India. Stay tuned.
